Greg Frewin Theatre, in partnership with ARB Productions, proudly announced winners of the inaugural edition of the Niagara Falls Elvis Festival. Out of 13 superb competitors, three of the best Elvis Tribute Artists emerged victorious.

1st PLACE = DI LIGHT – Porto Alegre, Brazil

2nd PLACE = PAT DUNN – New York, USA

3rd PLACE = BRUNO NESCI – Woodbridge, Ontario (People's Choice Award Winner)

Accordingly, experienced judges watched acts from all around the globe, including Brazil, Australia, Canada & the USA. Every single contestant demonstrated exceptional performance and clearly payed tribute with their unyielding love for the King of Rock & Roll.

Exclusively licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, the Niagara Falls Elvis Festival held a preliminary competition for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest® which happens annually in Memphis (August 2017). All competitors sang to tracks in a demanding two-round, three song format on Saturday (morn

ing & afternoon). Selected to move forward to the semi-final on Sunday morning, Ten (10) ETAs performed two songs, accompanied by the world-renowned 'The Casino Brothers Band'. Eventually, it narrowed down to five (5) ETAs competing in the final, Sunday evening.

"Our excited audience leaped to their feet when the finalists took the stage for the awards ceremony, and continued to applaud loudly throughout the announcements of the three individual top prizes," says Vittoria Wikston, General Manager of the Greg Frewin Theatre, co-producer of the Niagara Falls Elvis Festival. Just like the Elvis Tribute Artist competitors, Wikston and her team at the Greg Frewin Theatre worked hard behind-the-scenes all year long to finally see the fruits of their labour come to fruition. "It fills us with great joy to announce that our winners include Di Light, who receives $2800 (CAD) for 1st place, Pat Dunn who receives $1200 for second place, and Bruno Nesci who receives $700 for third place."

"Congratulations and a sincere thanks to all thirteen ETAs who spent their weekend giving us their very best. These contestants represent a diverse group of versatile performers and I know the judges had a difficult time selecting the finalists because the scores were so close!" exclaims co-producer of the event, Anthony Bussari of ARB Productions.

Bussari, while a 25-year vete

ran of the entertainment business, is brand new to hosting an Elvis festival. Clearly, he enjoys being a part of all this Elvis-mania. "Because Di Light is already representing another festival from a previous win, internationally recognized and award-winning Tribute Artist, Pat Dunn will represent the Niagara Falls Elvis Festival. We are flying him to Graceland to compete against all the other winners of Elvis festivals from around the world. One might call it the Elvis Olympics," says Bussari.
